APPLICATION FOR SEARCH

This is it! The quick and easy, hassle free application for joining the ranks of those fun-loving, crazy Istans at Ista Weyr! We'd appreciate promptness in submitting your application, as the sooner you turn it in the more time we have to get to know you and the more you'll be able to participate in our exciting storylines. Note: For those interested in riding gold, the possibility of a gold egg exists but there is no guarantee. We are not in urgent need of one so do not encourage anyone who has their heart set on gold-only to apply unless they're interested in the process for character development in itself as well.
POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND
  • After sending in the application below, review the Profile. Profiles are mandatory for every candidate. They are due within one week of your getting searched. If you are unable to meet this deadline you must talk to Klari to see if special arrangments can be made. Not turning a profile in on time will make you ineligable for impression, so please keep the deadline in mind! The profile is quite in-depth so will take some time. We encourage you to get an early start if you can. It will not only help others to interact better with your character but assure us that you have thought out a well-rounded and playable character.   • Once your application has been submitted, get out and RP, RP, RP!! We can't get to know you, let alone search you, if we can't find you.
  • Be aware that by submitting your application, you are giving your permission to be logged by members of SearchCo or their alts anytime you are in a public area for the purposes of search. Yes, we'll be checking you out! *wink*
  • Interviews will not be mandatory. They will only occur if there is something in particular SearchCo would like to ask you about. They could occur at any time while you are an applicant or a candidate. So don't be surprised if you're asked for one, or worried if you're not.
  • Please read 'news search' on Dragonsfire, and the associated news files.
KEY RULES TO KNOW BEFORE YOU APPLY
  • We will only search characters between the ages of 13 and 23 turns.
  • Ista Weyr residents are automatically eligible for Search so long as they were residents prior to the beginning of OOC Search.
  • You are responsible for notifying your IC area leader that you are applying for Search. We assume that, by applying for Search, you have done so. We assume no accountability for acquiring this information; however, be aware that if your area leader alerts us that they were not notified, we will not search/impress you. Period.
  • We will not search anyone who is handfasted or planning on becoming handfasted in the near future.
  • We will not search anyone who has any debilitating physical handicaps or deformities.
  • We will not search anyone who is pregnant.
  • We will not search Holdless characters, nor will we search Fort Weyr residents. You must be an approved resident of one of the on-camera locations.
  • Dragonriders are expected to participate in dragon flights. TinySex, or RP'd sex, is ***NOT*** required -- don't let anyone tell you different!
  • Most of Pern considers it an honor and a privilege to be searched. On rare occasions, one might be reluctant for some reason or another. Keep in mind that if you are overly-reluctant ICly, we will not search you. So don't put up a fight!
  • Applying does not guarantee being searched. Being searched does not guarantee impression. If you aren't searched, or you don't impress a dragon, PLEASE don't despair -- there will be other hatchings. YOUR dragon might be ready to hatch next time. =)

There will be a lot of activities to participate in throughout those months.
