Anni Crouter   Born in Chicago, but growing up in Flint, MI, Anni Crouter started painting before she could read or write. The daughter of a veterinarian, she was surrounded by animals, and so it naturally followed that she would draw what she loved. This natural ability caught notice by her mother and both her grandmothers, who encouraged her to express herself.

Following school, she attended Mott Community College (Flint, MI) majoring in business, with a minor in art. Her artwork mainly focused on oil, and sometimes, acrylic mediums. She states that the artist Andrew Wyeth influenced her early work.

It is only in the past 8 years that Anni has reinvented herself with her introduction to watercolors. She credits her longtime mentor, Jim Ames, AWS.
