District 5 Weather Net Contacts Page

Our Mission & Vision

To provide the National Weather Service  reliable visual weather reports when severe weather strikes any area of The District 5 Coverage area or any East Tennessee county.

To provide properly trained, equipped and reliable amateur radio operators for storm spotting, emergency/disaster communications or wherever the needs may be within the scope of general public assistance to help protect life and property.

 

 

East Tennessee Skywarn is open to anyone who wishes to join us, personal bias and group affiliation are not considered when any net is active. The requirements are to have a valid ham radio license to forward reports.  It is recommended that each spotter attend a yearly spotter classes provided free of charge by the NWS in various locations and times.
