About Us

How we met

We met eight years ago in Seattle, Washington. Adam was doing his medical residency at Seattle’s children’s hospital to become a pediatrician. Glenn was working as a software designer at Microsoft. We laughed when we figured out that we went to the same college, Brown University.

After many happy years together in Seattle, we moved to Atlanta, Georgia, so Adam could take an exciting new job at the Centers for Disease Control.  Glenn went back to school and got a graduate degree in City Planning in the College of Architecture at Georgia Tech.  Both of our jobs are close to home, and Glenn works part-time to have more time with Lucy.

In 2004, we had a commitment ceremony with our parents, siblings, and a hundred friends and relatives.  We have a great relationship built on honest communication, trust and a lot of joking around.

About each other

About Adam from Glenn

Lucy and Ad in chair"Adam is the love of my life.  He’s a pediatrician and every day I see how much he loves kids.  He’s a wonderful father — kind, interested, and full of passion for living.  One thing I love about him is that he makes me laugh—all the time."

About Glenn from Adam

Lucy and Glenn sledding"I love finding Lucy and Glenn reading books on the floor in her room.  They’ll be making animals sounds and acting out stories with her stuffed animals.  He gives everything his all and is the best Dad I know.  This is what I love about him."

Our cat, Franny, is an important part of the family.  She gets a long with everybody and loves to contemplate the meaning of life on our sun porch

About our neighborhood

We own a house in Atlanta, in a neighborhood with lots of families with kids.  We have a big backyard and are excited for Lucy to show her little brother or sister the best slides at the three parks close by.  Across the street from our house is a 33 acre forest, so we have a bit of country right in the city too.

There are a number of fun neighborhood activities for kids throughout the year.  One of our favorites is  the annual Halloween Kids Parade.  This past year, Lucy was Angelina Ballerina, a character from one of her favorite books.
