Once
upon a time, our Emigrant Ancestor, John Adams was born abt
1794-1807 in England. John a widower of Elizabeth
Prendergast, married Mary Curnan (Cornan,Cornell,Connan) Oct. 29,
1838, St. Catherine Fossambault, Portneuf County, Quebec,
Canada. Parents of Mary Curnan were Michael Curnan and
Sybilla McKenney(McKanna) from Cavan Co. Ireland. There is another
record that lists Mary's parents as Michael Curnan and ?
McNamara.
The 1871 Quebec Census,St Gabriel
East, lists John age 64 Religion Church of England. The 1861
Census lists John as age 50, and 1851 lists him as 40.
Therefore there is a four year age difference.
John
Adams died 1881 Valcartier. It is indicated his age is 87
years old. Therefore he would have been born abt 1794. Until
I find further info I am leaving his birth year abt
1807.
