In December of 1995, four men ventured into the Pine Barrens of New Jersey to do a live
broadcast of a popular public access cable TV show called Fact or Fiction. Their intent
was to seek out the legendary Jersey Devil on live television.
The next morning, however, one of the members of the crew, Jim Suerd, called police to report
the other crew members missing. The police eventually found the bodies of two of the three
victims, the third being assumed dead as well.
The police and DA's office believed they had their killer ... the only man who made it out
alive ... the only man who had the opportunity to commit the crimes ... the man who had the
blood of all three murder victims on his clothing ... Jim Suerd.
Suerd was eventually found guilty and sentenced to two consecutive life terms, but not
everyone believed he was the killer. This was the driving force behind the making of The Last
Broadcast ... to find the truth hidden within the Jersey Devil Murders case.
