The Jacksonville Chapter meets at the University Club in Downtown Jacksonville each Month for a lunch 1130-1300.  Come and enjoy the opportunity to network and hear from the leaders in our community in policy and technology advances.  Lunch runs $24 for non-members , $20 for members(slight increase for members).  Active Duty Military is admitted at 1/2 price thanks to our corporate sponsors.  We also now accept credit cards!!!  Join now for reduced rates at www.afcea.org !

Thanks to all for swinging the sticks in the 5th Annual Golf Tournament!   All you Golfers and Golfer wanna be's ....ya did good!!!.. The AFCEA Jacksonville Golf Tournament for raising funds for Scholarships for local High School and College Students focused on IT and Sciences (STEM) was a HUGE success !!!!   The tournament was held 16 May 2014 at the Deercreek Country Club!!   Money will go to building a lab training facility, supporting the 2015 Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair, providing scholarships for local students in STEM study areas! All of the money raised will stay or be reinvested in Northeast Florida and the surrounding area!!  Thanks for Being there.!!!!

Applications are being accepted for additional awards for Science Teaching Tools Grants.  This program provides Grants through our Scholarship fund to local Elementary through High Schools for Science Departments to better enable them to prepare our young people for futures in the sciences.  Contact Mr Michael Blount, Scholarship Chairman, for further information (afceajax@comcast.net) .  A BIG THANKS to AFCEA International for supporting our Science Teaching Tools efforts with a $1000 check this year....we gave $1750 to programs at local High Schools through the NEFRSEF!!!!!  Thank you to the volunteers who assisted in judging the Northeast Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair (NERSEF) this February....!
