About Me
The reason I created this site is to tie together several disparate pages I've created about various topics, from computer security to my favorite role-playing games. Really, the pages probably tell one more about me than anything I could write to introduce myself.
I am a software engineer living in eastern Massachusetts, in the United States of America. I work primarily on defense-related applications for the Unix and Linux operating systems. My current professional interests are generic programming and real-time systems. I have a background in physics and mathematics and I work primarily on technical problems in signal and image processing. My resumé goes into more detail about that.
There is, of course, more to me than my job, but a person's chosen profession can tell one a fair amount about his values and personality. I am also a writer. For a long time, I thought writing was going to be my profession. I like it better as a hobby. Most of my writing projects are available on this site.
I am happily married since September 27, 2003. It's wonderful to have such a beautiful, caring, brilliant woman with whom to share my triumphs, sorrows, and silliness.
