About Us

We are a group of ninth, tenth, and twelfth grade students, and an eleventh grader.  We attend Aviation High School, a school with an emphasis on math, science, and aviation.  This is our third year competing and this year are looking stronger then ever.  We have never had a team consisting of all four grade levels and we are excited to see what our new freshmen can do.

Science Olympiad is a national competition, consisting of 23 events ranging from astronomy to musical theory.  Last year we competed in invitational, regional, and state competitions.  A Science Olympiad team consists of fifteen students with three alternates. .  This year, we have three Science Olympiad teams.  There are about one hundred other teams in the state of Washington.  Our coach is Scott McComb.  He is in charge of assisting our students in organizing resources as well as leading the Science Olympiad effort.

Our team also particicipates in the Science Decathlon competition and the Team America Rocket Challenge. Last year we had three teams participate in Science Decathlon and our senior team took 1st place at Nationals. This is our first year competing in the Team America Rocket Challenge.
