Mealtime Blessing
Jay Crouthers and Christine Hunt
We greet the earth, the sky, the wind, and the waters as we honor them and all they provide.
We give thanks for this food and permission for it to heal and nourish us.
In love we are here together, one with God.
Amen
Our Thoughts
Buddha
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make our world.
You Climb a Mountain One Step at a Time
Positive Quote of the Day
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be. —Douglas Adams
Everyone who got where they are had to begin where they were. Your opportunity for success is right in front of you. To attain success or to reach your goal, don't worry about having all the answers in advance. You just need to have a clear idea of your goal and move toward it. The how is not so important. Conviction and intention is. Don’t limit yourself by the narrow view our human brains have. Open yourself up.
Don't procrastinate when faced with a difficult problem. Break your problems into parts and handle one part at a time. Develop a tendency toward action. You can make something happen today. Break your big plan for success into small steps and take the first step and allow the other steps to unfold once that first step is taken.
Success starts with beginning.
Soul Cardio
Kate Nowak
The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another's, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises. —Leo Buscaglia
Perhaps we should think of actions such as these as cardio for the soul.
With that thought in mind, may your soul get a daily workout and may your spirit be richly nourished.
The Mountain Ahead
Kate Nowak
Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible. --St. Francis of Assisi
Whether it is a physical mountain or a mountainous task, the most important part of the job before you is...beginning.
May all your necessary beginnings lead to accomplished impossibilities.
