Short Biography

Mary Hansen was born in Spanish Fork, Utah. She is the daughter of Lynn and Maurine Stewart and has 6 siblings (Linda, Susan, Sandra, Anne, Steve, and Matt). She grew up in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1985.

Mary married her high school sweetheart, Alan Hansen, in the Jordan River Temple in the fall of 1985. (Yes, she was young!) Mary and Alan have three boys: Andrew, Christian, and Joshua. Mary completed two years of school work at Utah Valley Community College. She then worked at WordPerfect for 3 years to put Alan through college at Brigham Young University.

Mary was a stay-home-mom for 15 years before returning to pursue her post high school education. Mary just recently graduated from the University of Utah (May 2008) with a BS in Accounting. Mary's final cumulative GPA was 3.93. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the honor societies of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi. She is currently a graduate student in the Master of Accounting program at the University of Utah, where she will graduate in May 2010.

Mary is an avid runner and skier. She is learning to golf.

Mary remains dedicated to her family and being a mother and wife. They are the central focus of her life.
