I am Scott Ross, the oldest of Bob and Patsy's children.
Mom and Dad have passed away, and I took on the task of providing a copy
of the Alaska album Mom so laboriously created, to everyone in the
family. As the internet has become more and more available to everyone,
I thought the people that are the subject of these pictures would like
copies too. Rather than send 5 or 6 hundred DVD's to everyone I thought
the web site would be an easier solution.
A bit about us. We left Shungnak and settled in Port
Angeles Washington, where Mom and Dad taught school until Mom got sick
and Dad retired. We (Barb, Rick, Mike and I) all graduated from high
school there. I'm the only one not still living in the area, I'm in
Auburn Washington where I've been working for Boeing the last 20 years.
I'm the guy that tightens the nuts that hold the wings on. Be sure to
buy me a drink if we ever cross paths! Not really, but it sounds better
than fixing computers!
Life involved 6 years in the Air Force, 8 years at
a computer service company and the rest at Boeing. I have two sons, now
25 and 22 and a step daughter 22 that brought me a grandson about 9
months ago. Still getting used to that!
We're retiring next year and becoming one of the crazy
people you hear about. The ones that sell everything, buy a boat and go
wander the globe for a few years. It's been a long time dream, and I
hope it works out!
So, I hope you enjoy the pictures. Download and share
with those that don't have access.
Take care and thanks for the memories!
Scott
