Involvement is crucial to a dynamic
learning environment. The experiences and unique
interpersonal skills each person brings to a child's
life, enrich them in subtle ways. The well known
cliche "it takes a village to raise a child" also
applies to teaching. I value your involvement and
encourage you to look at my handbook for more detail
on ways to help in the classroom.
    Additionally many opportunities exist
for you to be involved at the school level through
the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). If you are
interested in the PTA speak with me and I'll
provide you contact information.
    Finally, involvement takes many forms.
Almost every year, I have one or more student teachers.
Student teachers offer an opportunity for your child to
interact with a person who is successfully completing
his / her education and is about to embark on a career.
From this educator's perspective, student teachers provide
me the chance to mentor new professionals entering the field.
