Maybe my favorite piece to date, in spite of the cutesy subject. I was at the peak of my
focus as an illustrator, then. I can't believe I
did it ten years ago! It is a commissioned portrait of a friend's
pet.
The idea for the piece is the question, how will our pets adjust to
other worlds if we ever do colonize them? This is a very earth-like world,
but it does have some quirky flora and fauna. How many not-quite earthlike life forms can you find?.
