I find fantasy a bit more restrictive than science fiction (and possibly more demanding for that reason), but as it happened, one of my earliest assignments was for a fantasy gaming magazine. Wanting to finally break into the business rather than to seep in slowly and painfully by osmosis, as I had been doing, I gave it 600% effort. From that moment on, like it or not, I was almost exclusively a fantasy illustrator doing much of my work for TSR and later for collectible card games.
Much of the fantasy work has not yet been scanned. So check back sometime
