Benefit pasta dinner slated

Friends of the family of Elk Mark Szedny are hosting a pasta dinner for the family to help them recover from the loss of their home due to a recent fire.

The event will be hosted at the American Serbian Club on Brodhead Road from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 29.

Advance tickets (available at the Elks Lodge, at the Serbian Club, at Celtic-Reds Athletic Club and the Ukranian Club) are $10. Tickets at the door are $12.

Dinner volunteers can sign up at any of the four clubs. Donations for the Chinese Auction would also be greatly appreciated.

Ca$h Ba$h tickets now on sale!

Tickets for our insanely popular spring Ca$h Ba$h scheduled for Saturday, April 26, are now available at the lodge.

As you can see from the sample ticket above, cash prizes ranging from $150 to $300 are awarded EVERY 15 MINUTES, with the final prize at 10 p.m. worth $1,000.

Your donation of only $20 gets you four numbers in the drawing, delicious food, music and draft beer. There will also be other games of chance.

Sonic 15 boosts Wounded Warriors

A free Nov. 23 performance by country-rock band Sonic 15 not only filled the lodge on a snowy Saturday night, but raised money for one of the lodge's favorite charitable efforts, the Wounded Warrior Project.

Member donates 'Exalted Ruler' print

Lodge member Norm Binder, left, became enamored with  the work of noted painter C.M. Russell on a recent visit to the American West. He returned with a Russell print entitled "The Exalted Ruler" which he presented to lodge Exalted Ruler Mike Moon, right, at a recent lodge meeting.

Lodge hall rentals offer flexibility

A brochure about renting our hall is available.

Those renting our hall may use the caterer of their choice, or to provide their own food. We no longer have an exclusivity arrangement with a single caterer.

Those renting space from us may provide for their food as they choose, though an additional charge will apply to anyone wanting to use our kitchen.

That fact, coupled with the ability to rent our entire back hall (225 people maximum), half the hall (75) or even the lodge room (50) provides great flexibility when planning an event, from a small luncheon meeting or bridal shower to an anniversary party, class reunion or wedding.

The income received from our hall rentals is a significant source of lodge funding. So we ask any member who is considering hosting a gathering, or any member who knows of someone else who is, to consider our beautiful facilities.

Photos can be seen right here on our Web site — click the "banquet facilities" tab at the left — and we are always willing to give a potential renter the "nickel tour” after calling us at 724-375-4611. Our brochure is available to anyone upon request.
