About me & this site:

Let me take a moment to introduce myself and tell you what you'll find here. My name's Melinda I've been creating and re coloring Sims 1 objects, skins, walls and floors for over 3 years now. I started creating one day while I was recoving from an accident. The pictures were made using the lowest jpg formate to save on space this does take away from how the objects really look in the game. Mesh file for my skins must be downloaded separately from the skin this was done to help save space on the server. The meshes can be found on a mesh page. It's a popup window that list all meshes need for the skins found here.

If your viewing this site with a 800x600 screen size here's how you can change your viewing resolution.

Please read direction carefully........

1. Right click over your desktop. Click on properties.

2. Then click on settings.

3. Move your bar over to the setting previewed above then click apply.

Not the okay button at this time.

If you get a warning out of range as mine does when I try using a larger setting then the one shown.

The screen goes blank and says out of range but within a few seconds refreshes it self to the last screen size that worked. Other monitors work differently but should give you a warning or and okay or not okay button like my other one does.

If everything is find now it's time to click the okay button.

Pages will list with a symbols which if any expansion pack is needed for the object featured.

How I got my game to load in 1/2 the time.

One day I sorted my downloads by were I got them from. I placed sub folders under the object folder. I found when I loaded my game next, it took less time. So I did this to the walls & floors folders as well. Your not able to do this to the skin folder or the skins will not show in the game.

I have read elsewhere if you make your downloads read only this helps decrease the loading time as well.

Also got this information pass on to me make sure you don't have more than 199 file in each folder.

Direction on how to make subfolders & make them mark as read only can be found below.

How to make subfolders

How to make things read only.

My game crashed what could of caused it?

I had a problems once with my game. The game kept crashing on me. So I tryed the usual programs sim cop and object id and they didn't find anything wrong. So I left a message on the Sims BBS help boards. Someone suggested a program called Sim Doctor. So I fighured I'd give it a try seeing the other programs didn't find anything. Well it found some conflicting skin mesh in the game and now the game isn't crashing anymore.

The program Skin Doctor can be found here.

The program Object id can be found here.

The program Sim Cop can be found here.
