Andrzej Anweiler has been internationally acclaimed as a pianist having unique style, elegance and technical brilliance. He has appeared as soloist with orchestras and in recital to enthusiastic reviews and has made numerous recordings for radio and television both in Europe and the United States.
A graduate of the Hartt School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music in New York, his teachers have included the well-known pianists Daniel Pollack and Robert Goldsand, Regina Smendzianka in Warsaw and George Rogers at London's Royal Academy of Music. Anweiler's concert performances include Wigmore Hall and the Commonwealth Institute in London; the Muskverein, Vienna; Beethovenssaal, Berlin; Ostrogski Palace (Chopin Society) and Philharmonic Hall, Warsaw; Carnegie Recital Hall, the Kosciuszko Foundation Gallery and the Yale Center for British Art.
A composer as well as pianist, Mr. Anweiler has written music for radio, television and the theater, various chamber and orchestral music and two ballets. He has won awards from the National Federation of Music Clubs and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. His "Diversions for Two Clarinets" was premiered in Tokyo, Japan, at ClarinetFest 2005. |

Jennifer Combs, cello

Cellist Jennifer Combs studied in Leonard Rose's class at the Juilliard School. She earned her Master's degree from Northern Illinois University, where she studied with Marc Johnson of the Vermeer Quartet. Her awards include Eastern Music Festival's highest honor, "The Bloomfield Award". Currently on the faculty of the Hartford Conservatory, Ms. Combs is chair of the String Department and the artistic director of the Conservatory's chamber music seminar at Music Mountain in Falls Village, Connecticut. She performs regularly as a chamber musician, recitalist and soloist and is principal cellist of the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra.
As a founding member of the Oberon String Quartet in residence at Virginia Commonwealth University, she has participated in numerous chamber music festivals including the Skaneateles Festival, the Garth Newel Music Center and the Eastern Music Festival. She has collaborated with Franco Gulli, Miriam Fried and Charles Rosen. For the last two seasons Ms. Combs has performed with the New World Chamber Ensemble and is involved in outreach activities, organizing educational concerts for children sponsored by the Bushnell Memorial Partners program.
Jennifer Combs has appeared as soloist with orchestras in Connecticut, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Illinois and North Carolina. She has given recitals throughout the U.S., including Virginia's Museum of Fine Arts, DePaul University, the University of Richmond and at the Eastman and Juilliard Schools of Music. |
