This will take place under her billboard on Highway 79 at the 4-way stop in Foley, Missouri. We are so excited to be part of this event. We will have area police departments sharing info about missing people in the St. Louis, St. Charles, and Lincoln County areas, as well as some families representing their missing children. We will be hosting an attendance raffle with gifts donated from local businesses, free hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, and snow cones. Ed Schieffer, our state representative will be attending, saying a few words. We are hoping to have a child I.D. program along with public safety info. Of course the main attraction will be The On The Road To Remember Tour Bus that should pull in around 5:30.

After the event please log back to see the pictures we will post.

FIRST MISSOURI POLICE DEPARTMENT JOINS PICTURE THEM HOME

On Monday, August 11, 2008, the first Missouri Police Department to participate with the Picture Them Home Campaign sponsored Bianca's picture on one of their police cars. The Carl Junction, MO. Police Department sponsored 12 missing children on six police cars using the program founded by the Morgan Nick Foundation. The Police Chief mentioned during his short announcement that he was surfing the Internet and ran across the You-Tube video about the Clarksville, Arkansas police department initiating and implementing the Picture Them Home campaign. After watching this video he believed that his department not only could but should help bring these children home. He was able to gather community support and donations to help with the expenses. My friend Ginny and I made the five hour trip from my home to let the Chief know how important his decision to work with this program is to all parents of missing children, and especially to Bianca and I. I was also informed that a few other police departments have jumped on board and FIVE children have already been recovered since the programs inception at Clarksville, Arkansas in May 2008. I knew this was going to work!! Again I implore everyone reading this to please send this information to your local law enforcement agency and help us to find our children!

Here's a link to a slideshow of my trip:

PICTURE THEM HOME IN MISSOURI

Bianca featured in Arkansas

In honor of missing children's month the rural town of Clarksville, Arkansas did something very special for the families of 24 missing children on May 2, 2008. It all began when Chief Greg Donaldson, having children of his own, believed not only that he could do something to help find missing children, but that he should do something to help. It didn't take much urging to convince his mayor and the townspeople that whatever the cost, these children needed their help.

With the help of the Morgan Nick Foundation and Colleen Nick, mother of missing child Morgan, from AR, this town police department unveiled 12 police cruisers with large pictures of 24 missing children posted on the back glass. It was a wonderful ceremony with beautiful words spoken and many tears shed, even by the Chief himself. It was a breath taking moment when the first car was unveiled and my own child, Bianca, was the first to be shown. It was explained that the officers whom the cars belonged would keep each child's information with them to be able to answer any questions from the public.

Here's a link to a slideshow of my trip to Clarksville, Arkansas:

PICTURE THEM HOME

As my family left the small town of Clarksville that day I knew in my heart someone's child would be found because of this effort. Indeed, in less than two weeks, one of the missing children profiled was recovered as a direct result of this program!!

As far as any of us know, this is the first police department in our nation to be part of anything like this. Obviously this program, PICTURE THEM HOME, has already proven it's importance and worth. I along with Chief Donaldson CHALLENGE each law enforcement agency out there to step up to the plate and participate in this program. As a community, help encourage your local police departments by introducing them to the idea and the people who can make it happen. Chief Donaldson also said he would be more than happy to answer questions. Pleases contact the Morgan Nick Foundation for more information.

"Picture Them Home" Features Bianca

We're excited about Bianca's picture being featured on a police car in Clarksville, Arkansas.
