    gives the birth date, birth place given by son Alexander. The town name may be Ain Charra, which is highest Syrian village on Mount Hermon (about an hour from Damascus , the Capital of Syria).

    He arrived at Ellis Island under the name "Hanna Abou Olbe" on the S.S. Olbia on 19 July 1901 en route to his "cousin George Nesser" in Fort Wayne, IN. He was traveling with "Selim Tannous" his future brother-in-law.

    Her children knew her birthday as 19 April. She immigrated in 4 Nov 1899 and was said to be 6 months old at that time.

    This census indicates the month and year of birth, that she is 10 months old and that she was born in Indiana, but Ellis Island records show that she entered the U.S. on 4 Nov 1899 and that she was 6 months old.
  12. Cemetery marker.
    This year cannot be correct because an immigration record shows her entering the United State on 4 Nov 1899 and she was said to be 6 mos. old at the time.
  13. Assumed.
    Her daughter Martha gives her birthday as 19 April, but her obituary says she was 52 years old when she died in June 1952. Her place of birth is alternately given in census records as Syria or Indiana.

    She was traveling with her mother and was six months old at the time. They came from "Beyrouth" on the ship Patricia out of Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France. Her name in the records is spelled Chames Farah.
