  1. U.S. Census; 1900 Montgomery County, Ohio.
This census records his name as "Henry J. Ravencraft."
  2. Ibid.
  3. U.S. Census; 1850 Lewis County, Kentucky.
If this age is correct, then he was either incorrectly recorded in the 1840 census, or he was not living in his parents' home... or else he is not the son of Isaac and Cordelia.
  4. U.S. Census; 1870 Fleming County, Kentucky.
This age agrees with the 1880 census also.
  5. Margaret DeLeurere, "The Ravenscrofts In America".
  6. U.S. Census; 1850 Lewis County, Kentucky.
  7. U.S. Census; 1870 Fleming County, Kentucky.

  31. Mason County, Kentucky marriage records.
Their marriage is recorded in Mason County as 8 Jan 1850, but the clerk recorded all the years marriages with the same date. The census shows that both James and Sarah were living with their parents when the 1850 census was taken in June/July, so they must have married after that. The bondsman was Elias Collins[?] and the father of the bride was Upton Collins.
