PC-ENGINE and TURBOGRAFX-16
core decks system specs:
CPU: 8-bit HuC6280A
GPU: One 16-bit HuC6260 Video
Color Encoder (VCE), and one 16-bit HuC6270 VDC
Memory: 8 KB work ram and 64
KB video ram
Audio: 6 PSG audio channels,
programmable through the HuC6280 CPU

System 1-2 Card with USA or
Japanese cd-rom unit specs:
Oki MSM5205 ADPCM chip with
64 KB DRAM for audio sample storage. One channel of 4-bit
compressed audio (decompresses to 12-bit, top 10 bits output through DAC)
is supported.
Programmable, timer
controlled, electronic volume attenuator to fade-out the CD-DA and ADPCM
audio channels together or seperately.
PC-Engine CD-ROM interface
tray has 64 KB of DRAM for storage of program code and data loaded from
the CD. The Super System 3 card would add 192 KB more.
The System Card contains the
bios program used to boot CD media and provides functions for software
to access CD hardware through a standardized interface. Later System
Cards had extra RAM and updates to the bios.
PC-ENGINE Duo/Duo-R and RX and
TurboDuo added system specs:
The Duo series has the same
bios rom and ram as a PC-Engine system equipped with a Super System
Card. 256 KB in total. The Duo implements the memory as one 256 KB SRAM
chip rather than split 64 KB DRAM / 192 KB SRAM chips.

PC-ENGINE SuperGrafx system
specs:
CPU: 8-bit HuC6280A, running
at 1.79 or 7.16 MHz
GPU: A multiple GPU setup. One
16-bit HuC6260 Video Color Encode, two 16-bit HuC6270A Video Display
Controllers, and one HuC6202 VPC.
Memory: 32KB of work ram and
128KB of video ram.
Six PSG audio channels,
programmable through the HuC6280A CPU.

There are many other models
of the system, from the portable versions to stand alone units like the
Shuttlegrafx that can not be used with a CD-Rom unit. The system specs
of those are basically the same as the PC-ENGINE and TURBOGRAFX-16
systems other then having LCD screens, or as in the case of the Sharp
computer combo unit also having a separate working computer pcb housed
inside the same casing.
