BioAmy Collins began playing piano at age seven. Classically trained, she has studied with private instructors and at the Longy School of Music. After teaching piano for several years, she finally discovered her passion - playing and singing standards from the American jazz repertoire. Her musical influences range from Bill Evans to Chick Corea, and from Burt Bacharach to Diana Krall. Amy also enjoys arranging pop music standards for jazz piano. In addition to her solo work, she plays with the Indian Hill Big Band, and has performed with Jazz Express, a local jazz combo. Amy lives in Concord, MA with her husband and two daughters. Demo CD Now Available Amy recently completed her first demo CD, featuring Rick Posch on bass and Ed Bokhour on drums. The recording was produced by Bill Smith at Club 39 (club39@aol.com) in Sudbury, MA. Click on Downloads to hear or download the tracks.
