ABSTRACT
This course will present an overview of how the current Tactical Internet operates its routing functions on both the Lower and the Upper TI. In addition, the course will present an overview of the major network interfaces necessary to operate the network seamlessly. In addition, an in-depth review of most of the routing protocols used and the way they are configured will be provided. Those protocols reviewed include the following: Internet Protocol (IP), Routing Tables, Request for Comments (RFC) 1256, Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) Dense Mode. Task Organization issues will also be covered from a routing perspective.
