Eighty-four members attended the three hour event which was capped by a raffle of small and large prizes, some of value and some of little value. It was a fun event. John J. won the 50/50, the largest one to date....a respectable ninety-eight dollars. The KICC is recessed for the Summer and will reconvene the first Thursday in October.

The Kings Isle Computer Club (KICC) held their Valentine’s Day Party on Sunday, February 8th in the Green Room. The affair was orchestrated by Bobbie Prindle and her team of talented, creative and hard-working people.

Creative Catering did an admirable job. Good food and great service. There was live music and some people actually danced. The highlight of the day was, as usual, the drawings for the door prizes. Better than sixty percent of the members present won a door prize.

The major prize, an HP Notebook fully loaded with everything possible including TV capability and a seventeen inch screen, was won by Marge Ochetera.

The KICC annual party, this one dubbed the Presidents' Day Party, was held in the Green Room on February 17, 2008. One hundred plus members and guests attended the Enrico-catered dinner. The room and tables were decorated by Norma Higgins and her creative group in presidential red, white and blue.

The fête's production staff was marshaled by Bobbie Prindle. It was a near faultless affair until the dick jockey called in sick. Professor Arnie Deutchman picked up the beat and created a stream of rousing patriotic music which lacked nothing but audio modulation.

The party ended with a drawing for gifts consisting of, among other things, dinner gift cards, reams of laser print paper, one gig and two gig flash drives, Microsoft wireless mice (or mouses) and a five hundred gig external hard drive.

2006 HOLIDAY PARTY PHOTOS

The annual KICC Christmas dinner was held on December 10, 2006. Ernie, with the help of many, organized the event attended by one hundred six members and guests. Enrico was the caterer for the dinner, a virtual feast. The themed centerpieces which you see in some of these photos were created by Norma Higgins and her able staff. During a quiet few minutes, André presented a Power Point show remembering the nine KICC members who had passed on during 2006.

2006 WRAP PARTY PHOTOS

Seventy-two members attended our Wrap Party organized by Gene Duquette, Ernie Giavedoni, Susan Morin and Jack Polizzi. Gene was responsible for taking attendance commitments which enabled us to remain on budget. Susan was responsible for food selection and procurement. The wraps were again prepared by Crispers. Everyone working to make the party a success accomplished their goal.

2005 HOLIDAY PARTY PHOTOS

The 10th Annual KICC Christmas/Holiday Party was held on December 11th, 2005 in the Green Room of the Club House. One hundred and seventeen members and guests attended and enjoyed a sit-down dinner catered by Enrico's.

A special program titled, The Passing of Friends, recognized the nine members who had passed away during 2005.

The table centerpieces you see in these photos were designed and created by Norma Higgins and her Elves. Ed "Skip" Montgomery had the winning raffle ticket for the computer.

2004 HOLIDAY PARTY PHOTOS

This year's Holiday Party was held in the Green Room on December 12th and was attended by more than 167 members and guests.

Jean and Gene Duquette again orchestrated the affair with their able staff (all wearing Santa hats in the photos). Your Way Catering prepared a wonderful feast which was served by the Duquette Elves.

There awas a seemingly never-ending series of prizes and raffles which occupied a good portion of the after dinner activity.

MEMBERS' PHOTO COLLAGE: K.I.C.C. members have submitted their personal photos - over 50 pictures - for our web site collage. Most of the pictures were taken at an earlier time. There are many military photos, a goodly number of wedding shots and, of course, a few cute young things on ponies.

Take some time to browse through the collage. You'll be amazed, at one point in time we really didn't look that bad. Actually, some of the shots are amazing - could they have been clipped out of some old Saturday Evening Post magazine?

The room and table preparations were beautifully done by Jean Marmitt, Bobby Pringle, Mary Reitz and their staff of volunteers André Morin coordinated the details with Sonny's to feed the one hundred and seventy members and guests who came to the Green Room to enjoy the feast. And Larry Ebbitt, then Club President, waved the baton that harmonized the affair.
