On March 15, 2008, Beth Ann and I took our StarCraft 19CK TravelStar to PECO Campers, in Tucker, GA, for routine annual maintenance. We returned to PECO, March 29, with the intention of picking up our camper. While waiting for our camper, we decided to stroll through the new camper sales lot, to look at some more spacious campers. We found a new 2008 Starcraft 24QB, and went inside. This camper had lots of room, plenty of storage space, and a permanent bed. Beth Ann and I fell in love with this camper and began talking trade-in with the sales staff. The salesperson stated that due to the time of day, that it was too late to do the sales paperwork, prep the new camper, and make towing hardware changes. We made an appointment to return April 5th at 10am.
It was a rainy day as we began our trek to PECO April 5th. We arrived at Peco around 9:15am and shortly thereafter sat with the salesman to complete the paperwork. The camper was prepped and the towing hardware was upgraded. We went through orientation and then Beth Ann and I became proud owners of a brand new Starcraft 24QB.

One last thing.....we had to take all of our stuff out of the old camper and put it in the new camper.

Beth Ann knows how to efficiently pack a camper. It took us over an hour to remove everything from our old camper into the new one. The new camper became a mess and would require quite a bit of organization.

With everything in the new camper, it was time to head home.

As we left PECO, Beth Ann handed me her cellphone and asked me to call Indian Springs State Park to see if by chance they had a vacancy. The rainy weather had resulted in several "no-shows" at Indian Springs. We arrived and registered at Indian Springs around 2:00pm.

We scouted the available campsites and settled into Campsite 79, which was on the water.

In Jackson, GA, Beth Ann and I ate a late lunch at a decent BBQ place, Fresh Air Bar-B-Que. We also enjoyed ice cream treats at Bruster's.
It was still raining when we returned to the campground, so, we began cleaning and organizing the new camper. Several hours later, the camper was almost presentable. It was beginning to feel like home.

Indian Springs State Park is very scenic, especially in the springtime. Flowers, streams and falls offer a serene beauty.
The namesake of this State Park comes from its famous "sulphur smelling" springs which supposedly has curative powers.
Before leaving on Sunday, we explored and old cemetery in the State Park.
Around noon we were packed and ready to go home. We made it home safely around 4:30pm.
The new camper performed up to our expectations. We managed to organize most of the contents of the camper, clean the woodwork and floors. Beth Ann assured me that several other improvements will be made before our next camping trip.
