Andrew and Beth Ann Blackburn's Camping Adventures:
Hamburg State Park

May 23-26 2008

It was the Friday before the Memorial Day weekend, and Beth Ann and I were lucky to get the last available campsite at Hamburg. We arrived shortly after 5pm.

We settled in to our campsite, site #14. It was a nice, spacious, site, overlooking the lake.

After setting up the camper, we went to Sandersville and ate at Maricela's Mexican Grill. Mmmmmmmm Good!!!

During our stay, we saw an abundance of wildlife on our site and/or within several hundred feet of our site.

In addition to the above wildlife pictured, we also saw several other species of birds, and even a chipmunk.

On Sunday we "took it easy," relaxed, and enjoyed the tranquility of this state park.

Later in the evening, we enjoyed another meal at Maricela's

Monday morning arrived, and it was time to head home. We packed the camper and made it home safely around 3:30pm.
