On April 11, 2009, Beth Ann and I took our StarCraft 24QB Travel Star to PECO Campers, in Tucker, GA, for routine / preventive maintenance. When the work was completed, and with camper attached, we headed to Indian Springs State Park near Jackson, GA. With a phone call, we found out that they had several campsite vacancies.
Around 2pm, we arrived in Jackson, Ga and went shopping at Ingles. Afterwards, we then drove a short distance and ate at Fresh Air Bar-B-Que. Fresh Air Bar-B-Que in Jackson opened in 1929 and is one of the most acclaimed "barbecue joints" in Georgia.

Around 3:30pm, we arrived and registered at Indian Springs. We turned into Camping Area 2.

We scouted the available campsites and settled into Campsite 75. Our campsite was nice, but was not perfectly level. Lynx Levelers under the tires, solved our leveling problem.

Indian Springs State Park is one of the oldest state parks in the nation. The current registration office is a historic landmark which was used as a residence and inn in its early days.

Indian Springs is known for its mountain spring water, that has considerable sulfur content, which supposedly has curative powers. I drank several gulps of this cold spring water which was quite refreshing despite the obnoxious smell and taste.

Indian Springs State Park is very scenic, especially in the springtime. There were beautiful flowers blooming everywhere. The streams offered a natural serene beauty at its finest.

We had a chance to ride our bikes. The terrain was almost too hilly to ride in some places.
All good things must come to an end. We began to pack-up around noon time on Sunday.

We left at 1pm and made it home safely around 4:00pm.
We had a good time at Indian Springs, and will definitely try to camp there again in the near future.
