Beth Ann and I went to Hilton Head Harbor and RV Resort at Hilton Head Island, SC. for the long July 4th weekend. We arrived at the campground on Wednesday, around 6pm. We checked in at the office and were told to take a golf cart around the campground to select our site. After several trips around the campground, we chose the same site that we have in the past, Site 193. We returned the golf cart to office, finished checking in, and then went to our site to set up the camper. This was the first time that we tried to park in this challenging site with our larger camper and the Silverado. It was easier than when we had the shorter camper and using the Trailblazer.
After settling in, we went to eat at the Sea Shack. After a moderate wait, we were served and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Sea Shack looks like a "shack," but don't let "looks" fool you. Their food is very good. After our meal, we went to RITA'S for a tasty "cool treat."
Thursday, we ate lunch at Hudson's Seafood. Later that evening, we ate snacks from the "fridge" in the camper.
Friday we ate "brunch" at the Hilton Head Diner. For dinner, we ate at the British Open Pub.
Saturday evening we dined at Outback. Later we watched the 4th of July fireworks (set off at Hudson's up the river) from the RV Resort parking area.
Sunday morning we had breakfast in the camper and began to pack up to leave. We had a pleasant stay. We had a chance to ride our bikes and cool-off in the pool each day. The 4 days passed quickly.
We headed home around noon. We stopped at RITA's in Bluffton for some cool treats (to be eaten later.) We ate lunch at The Squat and Gobble Restaurant, (also located in Bluffton.) We arrived home around 2:30pm.
