Can
I be hypnotized?
Many people have have this concern
and it is completely valid.. Let us put this to rest by saying
this: Anyone can be hypnotized, in fact almost everyone has been
hypnotized in some way almost every day. To put it plainly:
"All Hypnosis is actually Self Hypnosis" so you are in the
drivers seat. The hypnotist knows what to say, what to
do and how to enhance the trance. We know how to help you
accomplish your goals. But, to enter hypnosis requires the
approval and assistance of the client.
Hypnosis is learned...and when you
practice and repeat you get better and better at it.
We use what we call
"Method Assessment" to assess what will be the most
successful way of hypnotizing someone. A Vast percentage of
the time this is successful enough and my clients show a huge
ability to enter into hypnosis.
Let us
say, for the benefits of hypnosis to be achieved you do not even
have to reach a deep trance state of hypnosis. Did the bad
habit you are trying to rid yourself of require any particular state
of hypnosis? Of course not. Then one must understand a
particular state of hypnosis is not "necessary" to rid
yourself of this habit either. Of course, the deeper the
better, and this will increase over time.
NLP techniques are used in many, many
cases where we feel it is necessary for the benefit of the client
Hypnosis is the basis and creates a situation where these
suggestions come quickly and NLP can be used to accentuate this and,
at times, work around it. NLP and Hypnosis work in tandem and also
as separate procedures.
Again, it is in your best interest to
help your hypnotherapist. It benefits both of you and the
results will speak for themselves.
