Originally this was an experiment in trying to achieve the appearance of a watercolor botanical painting without the aid of paint.  It was definitely a challenge.  I was invited to donate a small quilt for the International Quilt Association’s 2002 Celebrity Quilt Auction and I thought this was a good choice.  I added the fun and whimsical borders and donated the small quilt.  I usually do large size quilts and this was the first “small” quilt I had made.
