The following are the instructions for making a
bootable XP CD using Nero
Copying the Source Files
If you already have the Windows XP CD source files
on the computer's
hard
drive
you can skip
this section.
- Put the Window
installation CD into your CDROM drive. If the
Autorun menu starts, feel free to close it.
We're not going to use it.
- Open up My
Computer, then Right-Click on the CDROM
with your CD in it, and select Open (or
Explore).

- You can either,
click and drag to select all the contents of
your current location, or press <CTRL><A>
keys.

- Right-Click
on your mouse over the highlighted files, and select
Copy, or press
<CTRL><C> keys.

- Now navigate to
your hard drive, and create a new folder
and name it
XPCD, or name it
whatever you want. Just remember its name and
location.
- Open the
folder you created, Right-Click on your mouse, and
select Paste, or press <CTRL><V>
keys.

At this point Windows CD files will be copied to
your new folder (XPCD).

To begin, download
the
Microsoft Corporation.img file and remember the
location where you download it to your computer
1. Start Nero
2. Double click on CD-ROM (boot)
3. Check Image File
4. Click on the Browse button, File of Type -
All Files, Select the
Image
file
5. Keep the Nero
Boot-Loader 07C0
6. Load Segment - 07C0
7. Number of loaded sectors - 4
8. Make the screen look like the following graphic

9. Click on the ISO
tab
10. Configure it to match the following graphic

11. Click on the LABEL tab

WXPCCP_EN
- Windows XP

- Windows XP

13. Click on
the New button
14. Select your XP Source files and drag to the
window on the left

15. Make your
bootable XP CD.
