did I have you email the newsletter or send it. I hvn't seen one I am getting my birthday cards already and I need to have Jan's names. Sorry to such a pain. Jefferie
I have had news or newsletter coverage in the following capacities:
* October 2008 - I finised my third year of the Northeast Mini Sweepstakes Convention, which started out to be just a pajama party for members of my then local sweepstakes club. It quickly grew to attendance in 2006 of 238 people and 198 in 2007 and 193 in 2008. We decided because of personal committments to postpose the 2009 convention and possibly hold another one in 2010. It is my way of doing a customer appreciation outing along with meeting new customers.
* September 10, 2008 - Philadelphia Inquirer reporter, Natalie Pompilio, was doing an article on sweepstakes and had contacted me for an interview. Natalie had also visited a meeting of the Philly Cheesestakers which meets at one of the restaurants along Roosevelt Boulevard, changing venue every so often for variety. The article was had finally been finished and appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer on September 10th. It can be searched online for the newspaper and then doing a site search for the word Sweepers.
It is a well-written document and covers all aspects of our hobby in the most positive light. It is definately worth a look-see.

Write and tell me what you think at tnte-mail@comcast.net
* August 18, 2008 - I was interviewed on Carolyn Wilman's blogtalkradio show under the title All Kinds Of ANN-tics. You can listen to it at your leisure (1 hour in length) at www.contestqueen.com and look for the archived shows and then for my ANN-tics heading. I was nervous as can be, but it turned out to be so much fun. We covered ANN-tics, This N' That, the conventions and all kinds of stuff about who I am in relationship to this hobby.
* 2006-2008 I had the priviledge of not only talking Carolyn Wilman into coming out and publishing a United States version of her book "You Can't Win If You Don't Enter", but now that she has let the cat out of the bag, I wrote the chapter on second chance drawings as well as bits and pieces of information all throughout the book. I, as Carolyn says, "Americanized her with our sweeping lingo". This took us over a period of two years and I cherish every minute of it. What a great experience it was for me!!
* November 2007 - was interviewed by Sandy Gulliver for her In-Box newsletter article covering my taking over the This N' That Sweepstakes stuff newsletter. She was a great support in stating that my newsletter is a needed commodity for those who can't get to a sweepstakes club meeting.
* I mentioned a $1,000 shopping spree from Quick & Simple magazine's writing contest...well it didn't stop there. I was surprised to find that they wanted a picture of me so they could run an article in their January 31, 2006 issue with a recap of the winning essay thast I won the prize in. Advice: Just write from your heart and enter those that "click" with you. What's good aobut it is the fact thast you don't get it back all red written and graded!!! I enter the ones that I feel I bond with only and don't enter if it's a struggle getting it together.
Also be sure to start taking a lot of pictures with your digital camera and keep them in a folder on the computer. Lots of new sweeps coming out all the time that just ask for a simple picture or something.
* February 1998 - featured on the cover of SweepSheet under editor, Sandy Gulliver's "Profiles of a finatical sweepstaker".
* I can be seen posting on the various sweepstakes newsletter forums under my screen name CARAN52.
