This N' That Sweepstakes Stuff
Newsletter
In addition to my ANN-tics business, as of July 2007, I took over as the publisher/editor of "This N' That Sweepstakes Stuff newsletter when Deb Houin decided to retire after 9 years in publication. I am honored that she selected me to be her successor.
For those not familiar with TNT, it is simply like a national sweepstakes club with its own newseltter. It is published monthly and does NOT contain any sweepstakes, but a little of this and a little of that in the sweeping world. Tips, articles from winners, monthly prizes.
As a subscriber I had always found the newsletter to be a nice break from filling out those 3x5's and online entries, and especially those dreaded dry spells!! I am really excited how it has progressed over the past two years in taking into consideration all of your feedback and I think you will certainly enjoy the new look.!!
The newsletter now has approximately 200 subscribers spanning the entire United States!! Many of the subscribers do not have the luxury of a computer and many don't even have a club in their area. This newsletters helps to fill that void. Imagine yourself being housebound or the sweepstakes club meeting way to far away to attend. This newsletter keeps them in the know and able to feel part of a group. Those that belong to clubs bring fresh ideas to the newsletter for the benefit of all. It's a great gang of sweepers. If you do not subscribe yet, please consider it. You may even meet up with some sweepers in your area. The newsetter is now available in the original snail mail black and white issue, or now you can order is sent to your email address so that you can view it in living color and the ability to access it from anywhere, like when you are on vacation!! Saves paper and you can just print out the pages you need - store the rest for future referencing!!
I try to keep it newsworthy and with correspondence from all of the subscribers to keep us all charged with win notices and helping others get through those dreaded "dry spells".
I am a big believe in the theory of "The Secret", but call it more "the power of positive thinking" which I have used in my daily life even before the hype of "The Secret". I feel it's one of those things you believe in or you don't, but it has really been an asset for me in my lifetime. I hope that I can pass on some of my enthusiasm for life to you as we become friends.
Some of the features in each issue include:
1. MONTHLY PRIZES - which are donated by fellow subscribers. You don't have to do anything to enter. Everyone who holds a current subscription on the publication date (26th of the month) is automatically entered to win. We refer to the donors as our "Butterfly Club" because the butterfly stands for "good soul" and those donating are sending their positive energies through their donations to make someone else happy. The prizes include all kinds of sweeping supplies basically including postage stamps, envelopes, postcards, stickers, 3x5 cards and any other approved donations. We do not look for huge donations and usually the most expensive is a book of First Class Stamps or a pack of decorated envelopes so that it stays within a means that all can afford to participate.
2. PENPAL CLUB - optional - these names are listed on a rotating basis each month and are made up of those who also enjoy the hobby of entering sweepstakes and corresponding to each other. We do have a rule that the address list cannot be used for solicitation purposes to keep your mailbox clean. We also use this list as permission to publish if there are any events going on in your household such as illness or hospitalization, etc. (we have recently added a category semi-private where the name are not put into the penpal category, but if an event does occur the address can be listed in the newsletter. We DO NOT give out addresses under any circumstance without prior written permission.)
3. ePal CLUB - is excactly like the PenPal Club but letters are written through the email. Again, it is not for solicitation purposes.
4. We have a limited amount of vendors advertising and donating their supplies each month. All areas of the sweeping supply business are represented each month here to save you time.
5. We encourage all of our readers to submit memo's, letters, and whatever for consideration for publication. Many of our readers do not get out much or do not have the clubs so this keeps everyone in touch with each other.
Now for the important part:
Try an issue of This N' That for $2.50
Try three monthly issues for $7.50
Sign up for 6 monthly issues for $15.00
Or go the whole year without worrying about missing an issue 12 issues for $30.00
Make check or money order payable to: Carol McLaughlin Checks made out to any other name will be returned as I will not be able to deposit them.
I do accept PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and other credit cards either through the PayPal system or if you do not have that capability I also have a credit card acceptance account where I can put the charge through for you directly from my office. Get your cup of Jo and get ready to win monthly prizes donated by fellow subscribers, read letters of wins from your clubmates, read articles on sweeping, purchase sweeping supplies, and many other things that we come up with here and there. A perfect companion to your regular sweeping newsletter, like I said earlier. Again, I do not publish any rules or entry forms for entering sweepstakes. We are the "club" that you turn to after those entries are mailed out!!
See you there!!
