The Vicky Metcalf Awards were created in 1963 by the Toronto librarian whose name they bear. Three separate awards have been made. The one whose winners are shown below is to a writer who has contributed a body of work "inspirational to Canadian youth." This award earns $10,000 for a body of work, whether fiction, nonfiction, poetry or picture books. This award is suspended for 2002.
