Gate check-in on Thursday: I will be arriving on site by 2 p.m. My
personal pavilion will be located across from gate. It is a beige hexagonal
screen tent. If gate is not open, please stop by my tent. Someone will be
there to check you in and give you directions for set-up and parking.
Gate check-in on Friday: Location is on the main site. Gate opens at Noon
on Friday and closes at 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning. (If you arrive after
gate closes, please register as soon as the gate opens on Saturday to be
sure you have parked in an acceptable location.) Entry will be by turning
off the main highway and driving through town (where the permanent shops are
located). You will continue through town curving left to reach the gate.
As the road widens, you will be directed into one of three lanes. The far
right lane is reserved for those who pre-registered. The middle lane and
the far left lane are for those who are registering on site. Priority for
the far left lane will be given to those who are camping across the road.
Lanes will be clearly marked.
Gate check-in on Saturday: Gate opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 1:00 a.m.
on Sunday morning. Until 11 a.m., the procedure will be the same as on
Friday. Starting at 11 a.m., gate will be located across the road from the
main site. The road is only wide enough for one lane except in front of the
gate pavilion. Priority use of the second lane will be given to those who
are pre-registered. Once the wedding party has left site, gate will return
to its original location on the main site.
Gate check-in on Sunday: Gate opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at Noon.
Location and procedure will be the same as on Friday.
Information for gate volunteers: Shifts will be 3 hours. Please check in
at gate at least 15 minutes before your shift begins. You will receive an
orientation as to how gate will be run during your shift and your
assignment. During your brief orientation, you will become familiar with
the sign-in book and forms for onsite registration, the site fee structure,
the latest parking and camping information, and any special instructions.
Most gate volunteers will be greeting cars and assisting the occupants with
the registration process. During heavy traffic times, at least one person
will assist gentles with getting in the correct traffic lane
(pre-registration or onsite registration). One person will be designated in
charge of the cash box. This person will make change and confirm that the
correct amount of fees are being collected. No matter how busy gate is, it
is important that time is taken to be accurate and to ensure that no one is
under or overcharged and that all waivers and parking passes are completely
filled out. Before leaving gate, parking passes must be completed and taped
to the passenger’s side of the front windshield.
To volunteer for gate: Volunteers are still needed. It would be a great
help if you are able to confirm the times when you are available prior to
arrival at the event. If this is not possible for you, please stop by gate
after you arrive; we will find a place for you. To volunteer, please
contact Lady Xian by email, or by phone at
