The new campground with four sites with tielines was opened by the COE on February 1, 2006! First come basis, though.. We would like for all Bussey Point riders to write letters to the COE expressing the need for additional horse campsites so that those from out of town would be assured a site. Also, if you are interested in volunteering to help improve the Bussey trails, contact antopl3@comcast.net or call Jay Weidman, volunteer coordinator at the  COE 1 800 533-3478.

Directions to Bussey Point; from Atlanta

I-20 east to exit 172 (Thomson exit Hwy 17) Turn LEFT off exit toward Lincolnton/ Washington. Go approx 2 miles to HWY 43. Turn RIGHT onto hwy 43 just after church. Continue on Hwy 43 to HWY 220. Turn RIGHT onto 220. At first stop, turn LEFT--this will still be 220. Cross Hwy 47 at Cliatts Crossing store. At next stop sign, turn RIGHT onto Double Branches Road. Continue      unstraight, pavement will end. The road will deadend into the day parking area for the trails.
