Hello,
I am a former College Professor who retired in July.  I taught Audio Engineering and Sciences at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University for 35 years. I am widowed as my wife of 27 years passed away from Cancer in July of 2006. Alex, my 15 year old son, and I live in Towson MD near Loch Raven Reservoir in a nice fenced rancher in service to two German Shepherd Dogs. Scooter (aka "Devil dog") is 7months old and his partner in villainy, Freddie (named after Freddie Mercury, arguably history's finest rock and roll singer) is nearly 3years old.
I have a great number of hobbies and avocations. Notable among them is Auto Racing,
Sailing, Woodworking, Model Trains, I also dabble in Photography as well as Computers
and Technology, Audio and Video stuff, and anything else that strikes my interest today or
tomorrow. Select a link to see more about my interest in these topics. But beware, there are a lot of large pictures and the upload time may be long if you don't have a high speed
connection (but then again, who doesn't today).

On the left is my infamous (Iwon't start when it rains or if it's cold) Alfa. On the right
is the replacement car which I had to buy because I was student teaching, and if I didn't
get to the school on a regular basis I would have flunked
.
The latest car is pictured below. The Taurus SEL was getting sickly and I ran across this 2006 Audio A6 S-line witha 4.2L V8 online. Now all my cars are V8's (I make up for my prodigous gas consumption in other ways, such as by using CFL bulbs everywhere and owning a sailboat instead of a powerboat.) Anyway I saw this car and it was used with only 4500 miles on it, and the color was right, so..................

From the pictures, you can probably surmise that I was a French Horn player and then a
recording engineer. As a player I played under some great conductors such as Richard Lert
and Sergio Commissiona and sat in the pit and played in the band for Mickey Rooney, John
Rait, Zero Mostel and Ben Vereen. As an engineer I had the priviledge of working with
many great artists from Itzak Perlman and Leon Fleisher to John Denver, Danny Kaye and
Victor Borge.
I have also have a love affair
with the automobile and a few
of my favorites are pictured
here. I seemed to have had an
affinity for 1968 cars for a
while there.

1972 AMC Gremlin
What a mistake! Bottom line model 6
banger with a 3 speed. Started to rust
after 6 months. It was all I could
afford (under $2000)
(only starts in Southern Italy
type climates)
I still have this car. It's been modified with a full Kenny Brown suspension system. I used it to do my driver training with NASA. Only goes out in nice weather now.
Following the Gremlin came a 1973 Volvo 4-door (boring but reliable), a 1979 Volvo
GT (smokin for a Volvo), chronologically the P1800 goes here, a 1989 Ford Mustang
GT, a 1992 Mercury Sable (another mistake), a 1995 Ford Taurus SHO, and then the
SVT Cobra shown below. I also have the 2004 Dodge Dakota Truck. We also had (for
Annie) an old yellow Volvo, a couple of Taurus wagons, and the 2003 Taurus SEL.
