LIMETIME |
Lime Time is my 1991 Mustang LX dedicated track car. I went through the NASA (National Auto Sport Association) Competition Licensing sequence and got my Competition License in 2005. Alex and I built the first iteration of Lime Time in our garage. Two engines and many trips to Maryland Performance Center later, the car is pretty much complete. It is a dedicated non-street legal trailer queen designed to race in the NASA American Iron Series. Lime Time currently has a 347ci stroker engine and developes about 355hp at the rear wheels. Suspension is a combination of Kenny Brown, Maximum Motorsports, and Tokico components. It has a 3.73:1 ratio and a Torsen limited slip rear end. Spec Tires are Toyo Proxes RA-1, and full roll cage, 5 point harness, and all required safety equipment round out the package. |
Here is Lime Time mowing grass along the side of the track at Summit Point. My fellow drivers have started calling me "Lawnmower Man" (although I do not look like Jeff Fahey) due to the time I spend off-track in the grass. They have even suggested that the green color of the car (picked by Alex) may be responsible for it's attraction to foliage. I have raced at Summit Point (both the Main and Shenandoah tracks), BeaveRun, Virginia International Raceway, Pocono Raceway, and Lowes Motor Speedway (kart track).I intend to add Watkins Glen, Lime Rock Park and Carolina Motorsports Park in 2007. |
