Cinque Terre
InformationPhotos, Part 1
Cinque Terre is an area of five small villages in north western Italy on the Riviera in between the cities of Genoa and La Spezia. The names of the villages are (north to south) Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore, but are generally known collectively as Cinque Terre.

The villages are right on the water and are close enough together that you can easily walk in between them along an extremely beautiful coast line with green hills above you. If you get tired of hiking or hiking is not your thing, there is beautiful water to go swimming in along the five villages. Each town is very unique and makes the experience a very memorable one.

When I went back in 1999, it was starting to be discovered by tourists. However, it still provides a delightful experience for the traveler. In fact, it was it is so incredible, that I was happy that I was "stuck" there for an extra day because of a train strike.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

These are all low resolution photos, which were scanned from my film camera, that I put on the web in 1997. One day, I may have time to put additional photos up. Any comments, please E-mail me, .
