Lake Como
InformationLake Como Photos,
Lake Como is a popular vacation spot an hour or so (depending on where you go) from Milan. I highly recommend spending at least 2 full days at Lake Como on even the most fast pace blitz of Italy. The lake is ringed with little towns and mansions of rich Italians. I based my operation in Milligio due to in part to its central location and in part because I had heard good things about its youth hostel:Friendly staff, good, cheap food, great view of lake. One thing I learned about the Hostel is that the cook used to be a chef in a 4 star restaurant and he served the Pope (John Paul II) as well other Dignitaries. In my three days there I managed to explore the central lake region and got some good hiking and sun worshiping in.(Note, this text is just filler, one day, when I have time, I will add to it.
