Pisa

Brief HistoryPhotos, Part 1
Few sites are more universally known than Italy's Leaning Tower of Pisa Due to being on unstable land fill (for more info, please see the history page) the tower shifted and began to sink. This caused it to "lean" to one side. I must admit the leaning tower is a beautiful Romanesque tower. The leaning tower of Pisa is part of an even more Beautiful Plaza of Miracles. The plaza consists of the tower, a cathedral and Baptistry. All are built in in the Pisa Romanesque style with white marble facade and are set nicely on lush green grass, If you search the city, you will find more medieval structures. Most notably is the Palace de Cavalire and the Plaza del Cavalieri. But you will see other hidden marvels as you walk the street. Pisa is worth a day trip at best. For more information about the city, please see the history page. I hope you enjoy the photos. Any comments, please E-mail me, .
