Miscellaneous Churches of Venice
(Venice, Italy)

San Marco's may be the most famous church in Venice, but not the only church.  Some are very beautiful such as Chiesa dei Frari.  Most of them are in gothic style, in contrast to San Marcos which is Byzantine.  Here are some I took pictures as I was roaming around the city.

Winged Lion Guard

Chiesa di St. Polo
The gothic church of Chiesa dei Frari has some of the most splendid art work of Venice. Furthermore it has some great statues (tombs) in the back of it. This lion is "Guarding" the entrance to "the tomb of Canova". Unfortunately most of my pictures from this beautiful church came out underexpossed.
