How Many Rolls?

There are a few places in the GURPS rules where characters must make several rolls against the same target until they experience a failure or a critical success.

This table reduces that situation into a single die roll. Find the column that corresponds to the target number roll. The resulting number is the number of consecutive successes that the character experienced prior to the first failure. If the number is in bold, the character experienced a critical success somewhere along the way.
