Installation
Proxomitron installation guide
Download with pre-installed filters (last updated March 3, 2008)\
This expedites and simplifies installation. See below to update filters to current.
Right click and save over your existing default.cfg file and then go to File|Reload Default Settings to enable.
Or if viewing as plaint text, select all the text and then copy to the clipboard (control-C). Then go to Merge in Proxomitron and check the Web Filters box. When you check the Merge data from clipboard box, the merge is completed. Click on Edit FIlters|Web Page and the new filters will be at the top of the list in red. This filter list contains all cycling filters so all the old filters can be deleted (highlight them and click on Cut but don't Paste them). The go to File|Save Default Settings to save the new settings to your default.cfg file.
There are many ways to merge filters. The Proxomitron manual entry for merging filters is here.
Latest filters (last updated February 15, 2009)
Changes:

Updated Cyclingnews bulk view filter.
New Facebook filter removes all ads in the new Facebook format (vs. classic if that's even still available). Unlike Greasemonkey scripts, the ads don't appear momentarily until the scripts hide them--they never appear in the first place. To use the Facebook filter you will need to download facebook1.js and put it in C:\(whatever)\Proxomitron Naoko-4\html\

Major updates for many sites.
The big fat right ad column in Cyclingnews is removed and no blank space is left behind. In other words, you get to use the entire width of your display once again.
Slowtwitch has become particularly obnoxious. I actually got banned for making suggestions on how to block ads. Slowtwitch has a new Javascript that checks to see if the "ad zones" are visible and if they aren't, well, it reports your username and IP back to the mothership.
Check it out: http://forum.slowtwitch.com/adblock/adBlockJS.php
That script and others are prevented from being loaded by my filters.
General filtering
Advantages include much less clutter, reduced risk of epileptic seizure, and potentially much faster page loading.
Cyclingnews unfiltered (not animated so it's actually worse in real life)
Cyclingforums spam thread filters
Currently, I still have these filters enabled. Cyclingforums seems to finally have the spam under control but I'll keep the filters handy just in case.
Cyclingforums before spam filtering
Cyclingforums after spam filtering
All of these filters are web filters so you don't have to have either Outgoing Headers or Incoming Headers enabled.
There are two types of filters. One removes spam threads from the list of threads. This is the main filter. The other filter simply prevents spam threads from being listed as the last post in a sub-forum.
Each filter can function in two ways. The first is to compare the username to a list of known offenders (Jerks List.txt in the Lists sub-directory in the Proxomitron install directory).
