Arcane Elemental Magick

An important step on the path to High Sorcery, the esoteric science of Arcane Elementalism takes Sorcery into a realm of primal sources.
Nearly all sorcery makes use of the ambient and secondary sources of magical energy in a natural arcane rich environment.
Sorcerers have used these forces for untold centuries to constrain, bind, and coerce elemental entities or tap elemental sources. In more recent times, esoteric study has revealed that most vulgar effects of elemental power that can be observed in the world, are also secondary sources of that power. This means that everything from a salamander to a typhoon is actually manifestation of deeper primal sources. It is the enlightened use of the Arcane Elemental Principles that has led to the most wondrous and modern of magick artifacts and effects.
Originally derided as the 'passive elementalist', but more properly understood now as the eso-elementalist, modern elemental work is done by understanding the nature of the primal sources, not by clumsy power use, threats or slavery. Pioneers in this work tried to develop personal relationships with elemental princes and powers. Many of them died, for these entities are not rational in the ways of men, but have hidden natures that are manifestations of the primal sources, as well as the quirks of sentience.
Eventually, the keys to understanding were won. Now the differences between a lesser draconic entity and a true Primal Dragon are understood. Now it is clear that the Universe of primal sources does not limit itself to four elements that were so important to older methods, or even the 'lost' fifth element of antiquity. True understanding of the powers entails mastery of all eleven elements.
Fortunately for the study of these deep arts, an established process of learning has been in place for nearly nine thousand years in the Empire.
Requires sorcery as a pre-requisite.
Basic Eso-elemental (Apprentice) 10 pts
The primal sources known to the lesser arts (Air, Fire, Earth, Water) are mastered, including the 'lost' Fifth element. But unlike normal sorcerers, the Apprentice will be able to interact intelligently with these powers. When the manifestation has sentience, the Apprentice will be able to talk to the entity and ask for assistance.
Elemental aid from sentient sources can be called for, if there is a vulgar source within a few hundred miles, an entity may respond, usually depending on the stature or reputation of the Apprentice. Negotiations with the entity is from an inferior position. Act carefully.
Elemental energy may be manipulated into sorcery with mental effort. No lynchpin is require if a source is within a few hundred miles. Source strength determines spell result.
Advanced Eso-elemental (Master) 10 pts
Advanced primal sources are mastered, bringing the total understanding to nine elements. One element may be followed as a path, conferring certain immunities/advantages.
Elemental aid from sentient sources can be summoned with sorcery. An entity will respond as if produced by a source. Negotiation is between equals. The wit and past actions of the Master make this process easier or harder, information or inducements may be exchanged. Physical danger is minimal.

Exalted Eso-elemental (Adept) 10 pts
All primal sources are mastered, bringing the total understanding to eleven elements. Three total elements may be followed as paths, conferring certain immunities/advantages.
The Adept extends his consciousness into primal sources by act of will. Elemental aid from sentient sources is offered by the entities, as if the Adept were a Prince of Power.
Elemental raw energy may be summoned without spell formats.
