Why DOES Amie love dragons so much?
I really do love dragons; so much that I thought they merited their own section on this website. I've always loved dragons and dragon stories. I actually was voted "Most likely to be eaten by a dragon" my senior year in high school. I also have a soft spot for unicorns, but the ambiguous nature of dragons always appealed to me. Dragons could be noble, evil, tricksters, or just plain silly. I've read many dragon stories over the years, but one of my favorite series from the time I was in 8th grade were the Dragonlance books. Now, almost 20 years after I picked up the first book in the series, I have the privilege to work with one of the greatest scribes in Krynn: R.D. Henham.
So who IS R.D. Henham? R.D. Henham is a scribe in the great library of Palanthas. In the course of transcribing stories of legendary dragons, the author felt a gap existed in the story of the everydragon: ordinary dragons who end up doing extraordinary things. With the help of fellow scribes, R.D. had filled that gap with the Dragon Codices. R.D. Henham chose Amie to be the assistant scribe for Bronze Dragon Codex. After much research and countless hours with quill and ink, they had recorded the story of a very special bronze dragon named Simle. What is Bronze Dragon Codex about? Simle is a bronze dragon who hates humans. Tatelyn is a human girl who hates dragons. When the two of them are magically joined in a rather unexpected way, they have to learn to work together or be joined forever.
