Basic Weather Spotter Training

Due to scheduling, CERT may not have a weather class this spring. So this would be a good opportunity to learn or refresh your weather knowledge.

**BOY SCOUTS ASKING FOR CERT ASSISTANCE**

Location is the drill floor at Camp Lincoln
North Grand and Macarthur
The Abraham Lincoln Council of the Boy Scouts of America has looked to Springfield CERT members to be JUDGES for the 2010 Council wide First Aid meet.
Over 300 Scouts and their leaders attend this annual first aid and teamwork skills event. 
16 different scenarios comprising of approx 29 victims, using makeup and moulages, provide a realistic sight & sound for Scouts to practice safely.  
Judges will be given their problem assignments prior to the event.

Springfield Road Runners Club requesting course volunteers and HAM Radio operators for Lincoln Memorial Half Marathon
Saturday, April 3, 2009, 7am to 1pm

The event involves runners running on various streets throughout the city and volunteers are needed for light duty traffic control. Over 100 intersections need covered.
 Food and T-shirts will be provided to all volunteers for helping out with this event.
