This page lists the changes to this website that have been done
already, and also those that are planned for the future.
Recent Changes, a.k.a., What's New
- 7/17/07 — Added an announcement of the appearance
in Best of. Some cosmetic changes. Took
down the message board. Took down the newsletter page.
- 5/01/06 — Yasuro is back from his break he had to take for health reasons. Updated the CSS file so the looks of this site are slightly different now. Updated the Reference Photos page and added a section on retouching.
- 4/21/05 — Updated payment methods.
Also added some donation information.
- 1/04/05 — Changed the official email address. (Boy it's been a while!)
- 8/20/04 — Added one photo each to the Pastel page and the Procedure page.
- 7/26/04 — Moved the info on North Kitsap Arts & Crafts Festival to the Past Shows page. Added another online gallery, Gallery Culture, to the Shows and Publication page.
- 7/1/04 — Added a favicon for this site.
- 6/28/04 — Added the list of pieces shown at Shoreline Arts Festival which took place this past weekend, to the Past Shows page.
- 6/20/04 — Added two new pages: Support Us page and Link to Us page.
Updated the About This Website page.
- 6/19/04 — Added info on Shoreline Arts Festival on the Shows and Publication page.
- 6/12/04 — Added a few links for those who want to get a paid figure model job at the bottom of the Figure Models Wanted page.
- 6/8/04 — As we promised, we have done an overhaul of the look of ths site. Now we maintain this site using Adobe GoLive. There were major things during this transition (at least internally) , including: the new top splash page; the logo everywhere; new Meet the Artist page with a new image; table-based layout in regular pages as opposed to the old frame-based layout, thanks to GoLive's page template facility; etc. Do you like the change? Let us know!
- 6/5/04 — A couple of pieces have been accepted to North Kitsap Arts & Crafts Festival. Details.
- 5/31/04 — Added the logo of Edmonds Arts Festival to the Shows and Publications page after getting a
permission for it. Some cosmetic changes to the Welcome page and the Contact
Us page. There will not be any major changes
for the next few weeks, but when we come back, there will be a
complete makeover --- We are finally GoingLive!.
- 5/27/04 — Embedded the link of Spindrift.
- 5/25/04 — Added the announcement about 2004 Edmonds Arts Festival
to the Shows and Publications page.
- 5/18/04 — Moved the contents of the Other
Venus page to the Shows and Publications
page. The former page will disappear in the future. The latter page
appears in the higher position in the structure of this website. Added
Past Shows page, which is linked only from
the Shows and Publications page....and um,
this page. :)
- 5/16/04 — Added "Shows" section to the Other
Venus page and included info on the student art shows. Added
the following pieces to the gallery pages:
Twisting Bust to the Sculpture page;
and, Aspiring
Soul to the Others page. Included
the link to Nina's webiste in the Sculpture
page while we are at it.
- 4/20/04 — Added a section on how to send us large files in the Contact Us page.
- 4/18/04 — Included the good news of acceptance to a magazine to
the home page, and we will continue to do so as
we get more such news items. Also added a subsection to the Other Venues page to list publications in which
Yasuro's pieces appear.
- 4/3/04 — Added a form on Newsletters
page so you can sign up for it before it is launched; also
added a new photographic piece Shadows That Cut to the Others section of the gallery.
- 3/14/04 — Added another online gallery listing to the other venues page.
- 2/29/04 — Not a change to this website itself, but we have
uploaded images to other online galleries that
feature Yasuro.
- 2/27/04 — We finally included sculptural pieces and other types
of pieces to our gallery.
- 2/19/04 — We have changed our advertised email address to
yasuro@acm.org. This is only a temporary measure. Please let us know
if you know a good domain name registrant who takes care of email
forwarding as well.
By the way, as you may have noticed, the "Matting and Framing" page has not really been
finished. We will deal with it soon.
- 2/8/04 — Finished the "Matting and
Framing" page with an illustration.
- 12/29/03 — Added a page that introduces
samples of how our portraits are developed. Also as one of the
samples, added a page that shows how Ms. Janet Lowe
Swan was developed. This page has a lot of photos!
- 12/29/03 — Added a message board. Now you
can anonymously let us know what you think about us.
- 12/28/03 — Added an image of a sketch to the Figure Models Wanted page.
- 12/28/03 — Add Ms. Janet Lowe Swan to the portraits gallery.
- 12/27/03 — More details were added to the Figure Models Wanted page.
- 12/23/03 — The For Geographically Remote
Clients page was partially enhanced with the info on the roll-up
packaging.
- 12/20/03 — A new page on the future
launch of our newsletter was added.
Future Changes
- Add introduction to the associates that Yasuro works with, including models, photographers, etc.
- Change the
gallery so each piece is shown in a separate HTML page, with credits
and such links as Previous, Next, Other Gallery, etc. Do not forget
the copyright.
- Update the welcome page with a collage of Yasuro's pieces.
- Add actual examples of commission processes in the cases of the
Iwata Couple.
- Add contents to the Matting and Framing
page. Use Nicole #1 to take sample photos.
- Give ballpark fees of packing and shipping, both for domestic and
international clients. Packing should cover flat packaging as well,
both without a frame and with a frame.
- Add a few photographs to the Pastel page
to give a better idea what pastel is
- Add a few examples or figures to make better points in the Reference Photos page.
- Add artists' reference page to introduce good reference books.
- Add pages that introduce our figure models.
- Add contents to the Sponsorship
Opportunities page.
