Jane Barrientos has been a student, teacher, shop owner, lecturer, demonstrator,
furniture painter, author and trade show participant.
She currently paints, and teaches weekly classes from her home studio,
and one day workshops during the summer.
Jane is a board member of the Academic Artists' Association.
She earned her CDA from the National Society of Decorative Artists in 1991,
and a certificate of Trompe L'Oeil / Sharp Focus Still Life from the
Paier College of Fine Art in 1995.
Jane Barrientos' work is often displayed at The Academic Artists Association Annual Show, the Lenox Art Gallery in Lenox, Massachusetts, the Springfield Teachers credit Union, the Hampden County Court House, in Springfield, Ma., and at the Jane Barrientos Gallery in West Springfield, MA
Jane is listed in Who's Who in America and has won awards among others from:
The Piedmont Art Show in Connecticut;
The Westfest Art Festival, the Westfield Arts on the Green , and the Agawam Art Show
by the Connecticut Valley Decorative Artists in Massachusetts,
The Saratoga Springs Art Festival in New York.
